FAQ

  • What should I expect from my first visit?

At your visits, you’ll be the only patient in the clinic and in a private treatment room. Your initial evaluation will include a thorough intake and assessment to begin determining the why behind your symptoms. Assessment and treatment will address full-body mobility and strength, pelvic floor function, and pelvic health education. We will create an action plan together so you feel informed and supported on your path to healing.

  • Do I need to see my doctor or get a referral for physical therapy before I come in?

No! You do not need a referral from your doctor to work with us.

  • How is Reform Physical Therapy different from other clinics?

Our therapists specialize in pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapy. With a holistic, whole-body approach to care, we are able to identify the root cause of your symptoms so you can achieve results that actually last. We provide 1:1 60-minute appointments with your physical therapist, giving us the time and space necessary to provide you with the care that you deserve. When you come to our clinic, you’re not just another appointment - you’re our priority.

  • I've been to other pelvic floor therapists and I haven't gotten relief. How do I know if you can help me?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to pelvic floor therapy and different therapists have different treatment approaches. If you have tried pelvic floor therapy in the past and did not find relief, it’s possible that approach wasn’t best for you. At our clinic, we prioritize identifying the “why” behind your symptoms to help you get lasting relief. We will meet you where you are to fit your treatment into your lifestyle so it is sustainable and effective. With our highly personalized approach and pelvic health expertise, we are confident that we can help you reach your goals!

  • I'm not pregnant or postpartum. Could pelvic floor therapy help me?

Absolutely! We treat women throughout the lifespan with pelvic health concerns and for preventative care. If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, urinary leakage, urinary urgency, pain with intercourse, constipation, groin pain, back and hip pain, diastasis recti, or pelvic organ prolapse, we can definitely help you.

  • I'm currently pregnant. When should I come in for my first visit?

We highly recommend pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy. Our Pregnancy Program will guide and support you from as early as your first trimester to birth. It is built on three key pillars: strength and mobility, therapeutic bodywork, and labor and birth prep. We recommend coming in whenever you feel ready or at least by the beginning of your third trimester.
